Expressive Art Therapy at PASS

This year at PALS Adult Services Society (PASS), our Expressive Art Therapy program has been opening new doors for our members. Guided by Registered Art Therapists, members explore painting, drawing, sculpture, and other creative activities in a welcoming and supportive environment.

For many autistic adults, art becomes a voice when words feel out of reach. Through color, texture, and shape, members express their feelings, reduce anxiety, and build new coping skills that support their daily lives.

We use a range of materials—paint, clay, collage, pastels, and more—so members can find the medium that speaks to them. Each individualized session encourages self-expression, confidence, and connection.

This program would not be possible without the generosity of Unity for Autism, whose funding allows us to offer high-quality, autism-specific art therapy to adults across Vancouver and Burnaby.

From all of us at PASS: thank you for helping our members express themselves through art.
