PALS Adult Services Society Achieves COA Accreditation

PALS Adult Services Society (PASS) is proud to share that we have achieved national accreditation through COA Accreditation.

Organizations pursue COA Accreditation to demonstrate their commitment to best practices in human services. As part of the process, COA conducted a comprehensive review of PASS’ programs, services, management, and administration to ensure they meet internationally recognized standards.

COA Accreditation, a service of Social Current, is an independent and objective validation of an organization’s performance. The accreditation standards focus on ensuring services are well-coordinated, culturally responsive, evidence-based, and outcomes-driven, while being delivered by a skilled and supported workforce. Accreditation also strengthens accountability, responsible use of resources, and a culture of continuous quality improvement.

To achieve accreditation, PASS first submitted detailed documentation demonstrating compliance with COA standards. This was followed by an on-site review conducted by specially trained volunteer Peer Reviewers, who met with staff, board members, and participants to confirm how these standards are applied in practice.

Based on the Peer Reviewers’ findings, COA’s volunteer-based Accreditation Commission determined that PASS successfully met all criteria for accreditation.

COA Accreditation is an independent, nonprofit accreditor serving community-based behavioral health and social service organizations across the United States and Canada. More than 2,000 organizations—large and small, public and nonprofit—have achieved or are currently working toward COA Accreditation.
