Reliance Insurance partners with PASS

Reliance Insurance entered a unique partnership with PALS Adult Services Society (PASS) to help us build our capacity to help more adults with autism live vibrant and full lives.

Reliance Insurance is funding a three-year development officer role, whose job it is to seek funding from foundations and sponsors to enable us to expand our services.

PASS’ mission strikes a personal chord with Jim Ball, the president of Reliance Insurance. He has an autistic son, Craigy, age 45, and he and his wife Katie have been looking for a way to get involved in supporting adults with autism.

In addition to the financial support from Reliance, Katie started volunteering at PASS, working side-by-side with program members in our social enterprise, PASS Marketplace.

"The whole team at Reliance Insurance has been a pleasure to work with and so supportive of PASS and the outcomes we are trying to achieve for our program members," said Trever Broadhead, Executive Director of PASS. "I’ve really enjoyed working with Jim and Katie over the past year to establish our funding partnership which made it possible to hire a talented Development Officer to help us grow as an organization."

As part of their partnership, Reliance Insurance presented and took part in the 16th Annual Imagine... Gala. This fundraiser benefits both PASS and our sister organization, PALS Autism Society.
